Costumes

I am kind of new to this Halloween thing as we didn't celebrate when I was growing up. I think we will probably go to Trunk-or-Treat this year at our church. So what are the kids dressing as? Well, I found this for Emmie at Goodwill:

That's right; a Keebler elf costume. I don't know if she is going to go for it. She really wants to be a princess, like she wants to be everyday, but I told her she could walk around with a box of cookies and that seemed to interest her.

We found a pretty angel costume at Goodwill for Allie but it's missing either the halo or wings. I don't know what to do with that, but we'll figure something out. She'll probably be wearing eighteen layers underneath anyway . . . so who knows.

Ryan is going to be a puppy, because that's what I have for his size. He really doesn't care.

I almost forgot, when we were looking around at costumes Emmie found something she just FELL IN LOVE with -- one of those creepy masks from the "Scream" movie. This from my child who is scared of everything, even the "mean people" in Disney movies. She was saying "Oh, isn't it SO cute!" and trying to make it talk. I thought I would die laughing!

halloween seems like so much work for only a couple of hours. now i know why a ghost costume is so popular. throw a sheet over them and go. works for me. can't they be the holy ghost? or is that blasphemous.(i'm pretty sure i didn't spell that right)

I always think it's fun to dress the kids up! Your kids are going to be adorable! I have a Tigger costume that would probably fit Ryan if you want borrow it.

Oh I love Halloween! Your kids will have fun!
Wings and/or a halo is an easy fix! I bet you can Google it and find directions for making a halo and I know the dollar store on Eagle has wings...although the ones I got Kylee were pink so that might not work.

We have cute blue wings and acessories from last year. Justine even has blue hair. She was, obviously, the blue fairy! We even have sparkly blue and white loose power, we used for her eyes. You are more than welcome to it. I wish I had saved all of our costumes for you.

This is the first year Kamica won't be trunk or treating. The growing up years! :( Kayla is going to be a kitten - a black one. Hopefully people won't think she's being some witch's black cat on Halloween.
Oh yah - Kamica said, "Some lady was talking to me in the bathroom about your blog, mom." HA HA - I figured out it was you and explained to her who you were. :)

You one day, you gotta talk Emmie into being a pirate, she'd be a good pirate. Atually they both would look cute like that, with little mustaches. Has Allie been Alice? She'd be a great Alice, and Emmie- the cheshire cat! I saw a huge mad hatter hat at the costume shop the other day....Put that on Ethan... White rabbit for Ryan..HeeHee
