Reading, writing, and 'rithmatic are hugely important in our school, but we have been trying to teach character to our kids as well. I came across a website that isn't flashy or exciting, but it does have some basic ideas for teaching character. You can find it here. We have been working on obedience, self-control and patience in the last five weeks. The best part of all? It's helping me too! :)

Thanks Kimberly for the comment on my blog. I am quickly learning that the autism community is a united, helpful, caring place :) While our Christopher is still very high functioning I definitely feel the pain that all mother's of autistic children are feeling. Hope you and your little family are doing wonderful. Great to meet you and so happy to know another warrior mother I can ask all my questions :)
I agree. I think character is more important than academics. I try to stress this with my kids too.
What a great site! Thanks for sharing this link.
