12 Weeks: Day 12
For the first time since being here I heard a page for a Code Blue last night. Obviously it's a recorded voice, but the man speaking sounded like he was sitting in his parlor drinking tea. A very calm and collected tone that didn't relay the urgency of the moment. I thought it was on my floor until a nurse told me the page goes out all over the hospital. It happened in the middle of the night.

No, I asked too. It's for cardiac arrest. :(
eddie pulled out one of the plugs from the wall when tulah was born. that sent out a code blue. within, like, 5 seconds (literally) there were about 5 nurses at our door. the funniest part (well, eddie thought it was all very humorous) was that it was the REMOTE CONTROL plug that he pulled!!! weird, huh?
Oh, my gosh. That is too silly. Now I'm going to wonder every time I hear the announcement!
good ol' eddie! guess the next time we're in the hospital and get sick of waiting for a nurse, we now know if you want something pull the remote plug! ;)
the great part was that we had a nurse in there with us, so she explained the panic stricken faces of the five others at our door. she, of course, didn't realize that unplugging just the REMOTE would cause the code!!! it was quite funny though.
