I don't know how this happened, but I just found out today that my girls both want the same thing for Christmas: a cupcake machine. They saw one in Walmart and are enamored with it. A couple of months ago the big desire was an American girl doll, now it's a cupcake machine. So I'm wondering how we're going to play this one. We're not going to buy two cupcake machines; that would be silly. Maybe one good one and then some extra packets for when they inevitably run out of mix? I don't know. I wish American girl dolls didn't cost like $100 each or we would just do those as their big present. Does anyone know of an American doll look-alike that would please a six-year-old and five-year-old girl?Ryan's easy . . . he gets a car for everything. And it makes him REALLY happy. :)

Target has American Doll look-a-likes. I think they are around $40. I got one for Kylee last year..they were on sale for $19.99.
Hi, I'm a blog stalker from Chrisanna's blog! My sister said Toys-R-Us and Walmart both had similar dolls.
I've been praying for you!
My mom is an Avon consultant and they have great look alike dolls out right now, they even have matching outfits for your girls as well. I have a catalog of you are interested I could swing one over to ya...let me know!
Thanks girls! It sounds like now we just need to make a decision and get our Christmas shopping done.
To the anonymous stalker -- thanks for your prayers! Are you one of Chrisanna's sisters?
Maddy's #1 request for Christmas this year was an American doll too. There was no way I was going to pay $100 so we just got her the Target brand. They are $22 (that is the normal price). Now that was more in the budget and she will not know (and really wouldn't care) the difference. I wanted the Target brand one anyway so I can buy the clothes and accessories later on.
