Turquoise

So Pantone, the big color gurus, announced this month that turquoise is the color of 2010. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I doubt we'd use this color in any of our decorating. I am thinking of doing a series of paintings though with this being the main color. Not sure if they would sell better with it being trendy or not.

When I was a little girl I went through a phase when I LOVED pink, purple, and turquoise together. Maybe that's why I'm having a hard time accepting it as a grown-up hue. :) What do you think? Love it or hate it?

I like it for clothing, maybe because I need to wear more vibrant colors or I look washed out. Not sure about decorating...It would look nice with brown....Thinkin' about you!!!

Apparently I should be the color guru, because I painted the lower half of my bathroom walls turquoise like 6 months ago. Here I thought I was being original, but apparently I'm just being trendy.

according to my smart husband, turquois isn't a color, it's a gemstone.

I do like turquoise with brown. And I like it on clothes. Not sure about a turquoise couch or walls. But I'm sure as an accent with the right colors it would be stunning in a home.

According to Pantone, last year's color was this yellow-brown shade; like the color of wheat.
